The Platform Post publishes essays, features and reported explainers about the internet as a culture: how the platforms work, who makes things on them, and why some stories travel while others do not. Our sections are Essays, Culture and Platforms.
How we work
Everything on the site is written by The Platform Post’s staff and published under a staff byline. We link to the primary sources a piece relies on, and each reported article ends with a list of them. Essays argue a point of view and are labelled as essays. We do not publish sponsored content, and we do not accept payment for coverage.
When we get something wrong we correct it in the article and add a dated note at the end. Our corrections log records every correction we have issued, and our editorial standards set out the rules in full.
